its a top line normal size film camcorder that shoots the exact same quality and settings as some of the larger higher models. It film to tape so the quality is better than a sd memory card one..... Here is a link to some test shots someone did using the camera i'm going to get. It has amazing quality and slow motion capabilities. Also the camera the guy is shooting with is a older hv30 model so mine should be better!

yea man i'm getting a canon hv40. Full 1080 HD. Takes amazing videos. Plus i'm getting a new tripod, external mic and possibly a wide angle lens. Going to be stepping it up for videos this year
